Matt McCall, CPA, Treasurer
Matt McCall currently serves as Treasurer, providing leadership in the financial management of the company’s operations. He is a certified public accountant and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Lubbock Christian University, a Masters of Business Administration from Mississippi State University, and a Masters of Accountancy from Lipscomb University. He was hired by the company in 2012 to assist the Chief Financial Officer in overseeing all financial activities of the corporation. Matt is responsible for managing all insurance-related aspects of the company. He is also responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of the internet technology strategy both in the office as well as synchronization with jobsite personnel.
Matt and his wife Kimberly have two daughters, Kennedy and Emerson, and reside in Franklin, Tennessee.
Margie Eblen, Controller
Margie Eblen has been with American Constructors since 1981, two years after the company was founded. Hired as a receptionist and assistant to our former CFO during the early years of our company, she was promoted to Accounting Assistant within three months of arriving. In short order, she became the vigilant and incredibly meticulous monitor of all things monetary within the firm. In 1990, Margie became our firms’ accountant under our former Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Lee Jennings.
In 2006, Margie was promoted to Controller and now oversees the accounting department’s day to day financial operations for the entire company including payroll tax returns, accounts receivable, accounts payable, 401K administration, monthly balance sheets and income/expense statements, and federal and state corporate tax payments. In addition, Margie, maintains our company’s numerous contracting licenses throughout the United States.
Stefanie Smith, Accounting Clerk
Stefanie is in charge of executing all accounts payable, record keeping, verifying receipt of ordered materials, obtaining project manager approvals of subcontractor and vendor pay applications and invoices, and processing and mailing all company disbursements.
In addition, she verifies all client billings and is charged with mailing payments, collecting certified payroll forms from all subcontractors and distributing to our client’s representatives.
Stefanie has two sons, Taylor and Tanner.
Angel Choate, Marketing Coordinator and Executive Assistant
Angel serves as our Marketing Coordinator and Executive Assistant to President Harold Brewer, as well as Administrative Assistant to other Project Managers. She is responsible for the coordination, production and preparation of responses to new work opportunities. This includes coordination of photographic shoots of completed projects, image reproduction and preparation of written marketing documents. She is also in charge of maintaining our office equipment, phone and data systems, subcontractor and vendor contact lists, company employee resumes, preparation of all client contracts, and documents for corporate shareholder and quarterly Board of Directors’ meetings.
Angel is married to Brian and they have two children, Alexa and Laken.
